Rochester, NY (PRWEB) July 1,2009 -- PLE Government Systems is happy to announce that we are continuing to suport leading edge surveillance technology research at the University of Rochester. Our latest project effort involves handling multiple wide-field and high-resolution cameras. Our initial implementation will be for the simple case of one active high-res camera per wide-field unit. However, substantial improvements in efficiency are possible if one or more active cameras can be shared among several wide-field units. Doing this requires an additional level of planning and potential integration across separate computer systems. Correctly dealing with hand-off from one wide-field camera to another will require the implementation of some additional intelligence to equate the same object as seen in different cameras. This is a second option to be pursued according to the evolving demands of the system. Project Description Here
