Rochester, NY (PRWEB) January 1, 2008 -- PLE Government Systems announced today that Northeast Gas Association in cooperation with NYSEARCH one of the premier natural gas research, development and demonstration (RD & D) programs in the United States, has asked it to adapt it's proven AVT234 perimeter surveillance product to provide constant monitoring for third party damage prevention along gas right of ways.

Using patented Target Motion Cueing (TMC) technology, AVT234 is the industry’s leading automated object discovery and change detection in surveillance solution, providing unattended video analytics to be used to protect critical infrastructure sites including ports, airports, chemical plants, and utility company sites.

PLE will work with NGA/NYSEARCH and member companies RG&E, NYSEG, and Consolidated Edison to evaluate suitability to detect TP threats to pipelines by collecting test video at job sites to begin to characterize settings in PLE lab, determining critical Third Party equipment types to be considered for urban, rural gas pipeline ROW’s, assigning level of risk to equipment types by probability, running live scenarios at RG&E Scottsville Rd. and ConED faciliies to test real-world operation ignoring benign activity and alarming on threatening events by developing new filters, algorithms to accomplish the damage prevention monitoring via remote systems.
