(Business Wire) ---September 19, 2007---P&L E-Communications, LLC (PLE) demonstrated our AVT234 rapidly deployable/redeployable perimeter surveillance kit at the NYSEARCH/Northeast Gas Association meeting running from 17-19 September 2007 at the Philadelphia Electric and Gas Company (PECO) corporate offices, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The demonstration, sponsored by NYSEARCH a subsidiary of the Northeast Gas Association was held to provide leaders and decision-makers from national and international utility companies to observe, and become familiar with, the AVT234 commercial-off-the-shelf equipment available for procurement to be integrated to provide damage prevention functionality.

The AVT234© TMC© kit is being adapted for NYSEARCH to provide an unattended change detection capability that is quickly deployable / redeployable or permanently mounted using camera sensors for persistent full motion video analytics with proven significant reduction in video false alarms. Technically, our analytic solution has incorporated an adaptive classification scheme that raises an alarm only when there is an extremely high degree of confidence that there is an intrusion caused by a significant activity - insignificant nuisance alarms and false alarms are virtually eliminated without needing any prior knowledge of the scene being surveyed. AVT234© provides damage prevention capability to allow utility companys to compliment their one-call programs by detecting potentially damaging activity around a pipeline right-of-way in time to intercede and prevent damage to pipelines.
