AVT234© kit receives ITAR Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ)

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) May 19, 2008 -- PLE Government Systems announced today that it has received a COMMODITY JURISDICTION (CJ) DETERMINATION for its rapidly deployable surveillance kit(s) based on AVT234© technology. The CJ request was referred to Departments of Commerce and Defense for review and recommendation. The items provide unattended, persistent analytics on any video stream that is connected via input and provides visual and audio alarms to local operators and can also be integrated into a complete system.

Models are configured for civil (AVT234-C©) and military (AVT234-M©) applications and are available as a rapidly deployable kit for use in homeland security applications (AVT234-C©) and in theater (AVT234-M©) to be setup quickly along fast moving bases and outposts. Deployable kits are available via GSA contract GS-35F-0431U and ITAR commodity jurisdiction is done to make export of technology possible to non-military users.

The Department of State has determined the following:

• The Rapidly Deployable Surveillance Kit TMC-KIT-001 (AVT234-M©) is subject to the licensing jurisdiction of the Department of State, in accordance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 CFR 120 through 130). This item is designated as a defense article under Category XII(a) of the United States Munitions List. Licenses issued by this Directorate are required prior to export.
• The Rapidly Deployable Surveillance Kit TMC-KIT-002 (AVT234-C©) is not subject to the licensing jurisdiction of the Department of State. However, export may require authorization from the Department of Commerce (DOC).
